It all started when…

Aranesh, 6 years old, saw how much fun the older boys were having throwing trash on an open fire. He wanted to join in. A bit too excited, he got too close the the flames and received very deep burns on his left hand, arm and face. It was a 15 hour bus ride from his home of Phuthan for Aranesh to get help. He required 2 surgeries. The first was to tend to his wounds and the second was to harvest skin from other parts of his body and to graft it to his hand. Without the Nepal Cleft and Burn Center he would have lost his hand.
